Here is my design so far... ready for a crit. The first pic was what I had this morning and the followong two show the changes. The concept is modular components that can be added or subtracted, and rearranged, according to user needs. It is supported by a timber frame (which is not modular) within which the building's components can be arranged. The idea was to provide versatility and adaptability to different sites/conditions.
The basic unit is 900 x 900mm modules with floor/waste being 590mm deep, walls at 1800mm tall and roof (which houses solar heated water) is 140mm deep. The door (above the step) faces North east (on the end of the pier). The screens are movable and lockable to deal with privacy and weather issues.
I won't go on now but please offer suggestions as they would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Hey anthony. Beautiful and simple design and the pictures show a lot of the construction details have been though about. I know you only want constructive criticism though... All that comes to mind from the pictures is that either the roof looks low or the stairs look big. Perhaps a person next to it would give a better idea of the scale. Also an obvious question with the shower exposed and all that wood around is where the water goes, although i'm sure you have an answer for that. Otherwise, they look great and i know how well thought out they are from talking to you today. I'd be interested to see what questions people who haven't spoken to you about your designs may have. They might give you a good idea what other kinds of pictures would help for your presentation.
Thanks for the comments. You're right, the Shower will be messy. I've been experimenting with pull-down screens that obscure the toilet and shower from view. I suppose they will have to address the issue of wet areas as well as. And yes, people do give perspective. The step is meant to be 250mm tall (a bit high I think) and the step up to the entry is 200mm. But you're right. It means nothing without a reference. One person coming up...
